The Lower Hudson Valley's Community Radio Alternative
 WDFH is an independent, locally owned and operated station run by
local volunteers, a rare breath of fresh air in these corporate-media-conglomerate
dominated times, especially in the media-saturated NYC area. WDFH is licensed
to Hudson Valley Community Radio, Inc., a local nonprofit organization.
We've created programming that's unique in the New York metropolitan area.
And because we're just outside of NYC, the range of talent we can bring you
is pretty amazing!
We play a mix of rock, folk, blues, and jazz. We're active in the local music scene,
regularly featuring musicians from our area on the air.
The music mix you hear on WDFH is eclectic and exciting because it's programmed
not by some computer program, as is the case at most radio stations, but by volunteers
who bring their own musical passions to the station.
We air a growing array of local and national news and public affairs programs,
and provide special coverage when something important is going on (for example,
our nationally recognized 2004 political coverage). |
