With a coalition of environmental groups they defeated a 85million tax credit in the New Mexico legislature.
This week's Sprouts edition is at produced Cultural Energy in Taos, NM by Robin Collier & Lyla Johston. They bring us the sounds of how the organizers accomplished their goal, including the grandmothers, activists meeting with Gov. Richardson, a rally in Capital, and testimony of Vice-President Ben Shelly.
Cultural Energy is a nonprofit organization formed in 2003 to create radio and other media productions for Northern New Mexico featuring youth, arts & activism.
