TOMAS YOUNG - WOUNDED IRAQ VETERAN AGAINST THE WARThursday, March 22, 2007 Produced by Tom Klammer of KKFI in Kansas City, MO
In recognition of this week's anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, Sprouts features an interview with wounded veteran Tomas Young. On April 4, 2004, the same day Casey Sheehan was killed, Tomas Young was in Iraq, packed in with other 25 soldiers in the bed of an unarmored truck when a bullet struck him and he suddenly went numb.
Initially aired on "Tell Somebody" on KKFI 90.1 FM in Kansas City, this is the story about how Young joined the Army, how he ended up in Iraq, and his speaking out against the war.
