FOUR STORIES OF LIFE AND LOVE IN SWITZERLAND

Thursday, April 14, 2005
Produced by:  Nicole Emmenegger, Radio LoRa, Zurich, Switzerland
Production Assistance :  Jessica Gaines and Joanna Archetti
Music by: Peter Hinnen "Nudel Jodel"

For this, the first European edition of Sprouts, we portrait four very different people who share one very significant commonality, they all moved to Switzerland to be with the person they love.

Our first portrait is of Dolly Dhinga, a writer and journalist who left London last year to go on a world trip, meet a guy, ended up in Zurich and never went home again.

We also talk with the musician San Fadyl from the band Ladybug Transistor. He has been together with his wife Brigit for close to ten years and made the move to Zurich five years ago to be with her.

Joanna Archetti also tells her story of meeting and being charmed by the sweet words of her now husband Sandro.

The fourth and final portrait is of  Camilla Hurtado, who left everything behind in her native Columbia to move to Switzerland to be with the man she loves.

Sprouts is a weekly program produced in collaboration with community radio stations and independent producers across the country and around the world featuring local radio production from many radio stations and local media groups. The program is offered free of charge to all radio stations. For information, or if you would like to feature your work on Sprouts, contact Ursula Ruedenberg at ursula@pacifica.
