Produced by: Ernesto Aguilar at KPFT-Pacifica, Houston, Texas This week on Sprouts we bring parts of some speeches given this weekend at the National Conference for Media Reform, organized by Free Press from January 12 - 14. This conference is the largest national gathering of activists, media makers, educators, journalists, policymakers and concerned citizens who are assessing the state of our media and mobilizing for democratic media. In its third year, it brought together approximately 3,500 participants in downtown Memphis, Tennessee .
Speakers are (in order): Robert McChesney (interviewed by Mitch Jesserich); Jane Fonda; Dennis Kucinich; Van Jones and Geena Davis.
