Join Pacifica Radio at the National Conference for Media Reform in Memphis Tennessee from January 12 - 14 for live and recorded coverage of the largest gathering of activists, media makers, educators, journalists, policymakers and concerned citizens who are assessing the state of our media and mobilizing for better media. Never has there been a stronger, more cohesive community of organizations and individuals working for better media. And the need for media reform has never been greater. Keynote events will feature speakers including Bill Moyers, Robert McChesney, Helen Thomas, Laura Flanders, Jesse Jackson, Amy Goodman, Juan Gonzalez, Janine Jackson, Deepa Fernandes, Davey D, and many more.
Our coverage will include the live keynote events, interviews with the wide variety of media makers, media critics, and media activists gathering at the conference, and recordings from the conference workhops.
The Pacifica & Affiliates Network gets special recognition as the network that covers this conference; we'd love to be able to announce the radio stations throughout our network nationally who areparticipating by broadcasting the events. Live sound from the stage of the conference's keynote event, including Robert McChesney, Geena Davis, Helen Thomas, Deepa Fernandez, Phil Donahue, Davey D, Ben Bagdikian, Benjamin Hooks, Boots Riley, Ben Scott, Congressmember Ed Markey, and others.
