Pacifica Radio's "Informativo Pacifica"
LOS ANGELES, CA -- The Spanish Language speaking Latino population in the
US is growing exponentially and it makes a lot of sense to use Spanish to inform
them about international current events.
"Informativo Pacifica" is a 28:00 minute Spanish-language newscast
that incorporates reports from throughout the world. It is produced daily (Monday
thru Friday) at KPFK-Pacifica in Los Angeles, featuring an international group
of volunteers from the United States and more than 30 other countries.
The newscast begins with a 3-5 minute headlines segment followed by a series
of reports and interviews. The segments are approximately three minutes each.
There are 5-8 second music breaks at the end of each report.
"Informativo Pacifica" is heard in northern, central and southern
Mexico, in the Cauca region of Colombia, and in various locations in the United
States. Some stations air portions of it and others in Florida and Mexico City
broadcast the entire program several times during the day.
Available in the Pacifica AudioPort.
You can listen/sample it or download it daily. Find it at www.audioport.org.
