Community Radio By And For The People Of The Roaring Fork Valley
On the air since 1983, KDNK is community radio by and for the people in Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley and beyond, reaching communities like Carbondale, Aspen, Snow Mass Village, Basalt, El Jebel, Redstone, Old Snow Mass,Newcastle, and Leadville.
One of the most listened to stations in the Roaring Valley according to an independent survey, KDNK's mission to bring programming designed and created by local folks has held strong as a committed alternative to satellites and big corporate radio.
They have their own news department and feature local programming focusing on unique local characters and interviews that run the gamut from Colorado congressmen to visitors and professionals in the area. They look forward to adding their local programming to the network. KDNK is an affiliate of NPR as well as Pacifica.
The Roaring Fork Valley spans several ranger districts of the White River National Forest. It is located on Colorado's Western Slope west of the Continental Divide and is home to beautiful mountain landscapes and scenic waterways.
