What is Pacifica, Pacifica Radio, the Pacifica Network, etc? |

The Pacifica Foundation is the official name of our organization, we are chartered
by the state of California, and operate radio licenses in 5 cities. As the founders
of listener sponsored community radio, we are also known as 'Pacifica Radio',
as well as simply 'Pacifica'. With the recent growth of the Pacifica Affiliates
Network, many have recently begun to also call the Pacifica Foundation, the
'Pacifica Network' - hence the name of this new website!
Begining from its inception in 1949, Pacifica has remained a non-profit community
sponsored 501C-3. |
