Podcasts for Automation Among New Features
If you'd like to share your feedback or help us test new features on Audioport, please read this.
Since the launch of Audioport.org in July 2004, use of the site has grown exponentially. Created as an alternative distribution system to the satellite, Audioport.org is now used by a majority of network stations, and for most is the preferred method of receiving and distributing programs.
Last year we moved the site to newer, faster servers. This year, Pacifica's tech team is upgrading Audioport for greater reliability as well as new features such as automated audio file delivery, or podcasts. Some of these new features have been implemented, and are now being tested. Other changes will be made over the next several months, with the input of the Audioport user community.
Development Timeline
- Jan/Feb: Testing of AudioPort 2.0 / Input for Future Development
- Mid-March: Public Release of AudioPort 2.0
- April: Roadmap for AudioPort 3.0
What's New in AudioPort 2.0
- Podcasts for Automation - Podcast feeds are now available by
program series, allowing stations to automatically download programs -
and optionally load them into their automation system.
- Improved Upload Process - Includes an upload progress bar and revised workflow.
- Simplified Interface - Screens have been streamlined for simpler operation.

Make sure you are logged out of the old Audioport site before using the new one.
